Here at Barney’s we offer a full line of guide services. Ranging from
½ and full day fishing, bear, grouse, waterfowl,
and deer hunts. As a life long resident of Itasca County we can offer
a top-notch experience confidently. Book your fishing or hunting trip
with the assurance that your needs and expectations will be met.
Sand, Bowstring, Winnie and other area lakes for walleye, perch, northern,
and pan fish.

Day trips to Red Lake or Rainy River for northern, sturgeon, and muskie.

Fishing trips are for 2 people with gas and bait extra. Full day trips
include a shore lunch.
- $700 - six-day active bait package.
- $1000 – six days with 2 meals a day and lodging.
- We have a guaranteed active bait policy. This means that you will
be hunting bait that is actively being used by at least 1 or more
bear.
- We have game camera pictures of bait from last year with 6 different
bear in one night. Two of them were brown.
- Typically in our baiting area we run approximately 15% - 20% of
a dark brown color phase.
- When applying, choose Area 26 first. We also run baits in Area
13 where there are usually some leftover licenses available for sale
over the counter.
- We have a great success rate. Last year (2006) we harvested 5 out
of 8. One weighed in at 265 lbs field dressed and was harvested with
a bow.

- Hunt grouse over a flushing Lab or bring your own dog.
- No better way to learn the area. Full day hunts include lunch.

- Hunt from a 14 ft jon boat w/ a 24 horse beavertail motor.
- Hunt from one of the many beaver dams or Wildlife
Management Areas.
- Semi guided deer hunts in established stands.

- Enjoy the camaraderie between fellow hunters and learn the area.
